So, to start with, this client(confidential) of ours is a mid sized IT service plus a consultation company. Well, they have been working in the consulting service industry since past one decade. They are already growing and for now they have a total head count of more than 200+ employees.
Project Summary:
So, what the situation was, it kind of an implementation requirement. This client was chosen by one of the manufacturing and distribution firms so that they could help them in implementing the Odoo ERP so that it would help them to get a complete digital changeover with the roadmap they provided. But, you know, to be honest, this client had some internal restraints with the expertise in Odoo based implementations. Hence it was known to them that it might eventually bring risks and delays in executing the project.
So, the client sought to address their internal restraints by partnering with Apagen Solutions. This basically will help them in getting an on time resolution by our provided leveraged staff augmentation services. We ensured that the IT client can easily scale their project success by providing them with the required certified Odoo consultants. Our specific staff augmentation was going to help the client in providing a faster delivery timeline, and ensuring that their manufacturing end-client would receive a high-quality implementation experience.

Well, let’s give you a proper gist of what actual challenges were there that initially the client was facing due to their internal restraint issues-
- They were having a shortage of skilled Odoo experts with in depth knowledge of the manufacturing industry workflows, functions, and modules.
- Their core team was basically not able to help their end-client with proper enhancements as per the roadmap which was leading to missing deadlines and pressure.
- Their team was lacking experience beyond their capability and were not able to map the requirements within the MRP and inventory modules that required they to create custom flows.

- Check their internal delivery capacity for experienced Odoo consultants in a quick and efficient way
- They wanted to remove their team load by transferring the ERP configurations and customizations to our augmented experts
- They also were looking to minimize their backlogs that were still there for the development process so that were able to align themselves with the going live timeline
- Setup a process that would allow an easy way out for collaborations within internal and augmented resources

- 1 onsite functional consultant who would be directly engaging with the IT firm’s client so as to gather project requirements, configure the modules for them, and go through with the expectations of the involved stakeholders.
- 2 Offshore Odoo Developers who were to focus on developing the logic for the backend, assist in the enhancements that were required by the end client, make bug fixed in the implemented modules, and deliver the modules in sprints.
- 1 QA Analyst (Remote) was allocated that could manage the complete test cases creation, provide regression testing of the modules, and then validate the developed modules.
